We are a family owned business that has been in the auto body business for 28 years. Once specializing in new car collision work we have now moved into Classic car restoration, one off custom fabricating, and factory and custom paint jobs on just about anything. We also work on RV's and larger trucks.
Although Southern can restore any type of classic or collectible we have been a Mustang specialty shop for many years , building everything from a daily driver coupe to the most sought after Shelby. Our history:
Olaf Herrick and Jerry Evans started in the auto body business in April of 1988. Starting with one employee in a rented 3000 sq foot shop . We expanded in 1993 to a purpose built 10,000 sq foot facility. In 1998 we doubled the shop and in 2003 we added a third addition bringing the total sq footage to 29,000 sq feet with a total of 32 employees. In 2007 Jerry Evans retired to fulfill another dream. In 2012 we bought a local shop about 10 miles away and gained another 6 employees. Then in 2015 Olaf Herrick fulfilled his dream and bought a third shop which he converted to a Classic Car facility and truck shop. The other two shops were acquired by a National consolidator in 2016 so now were back to the basics building cars and fulfilling dreams.
